Leader announces next leg of forum meetings
Council Leader Cllr Russ Bowden has added two new leader’s forum meetings for October.
The forums, which are a chance for residents to question the Leader outside of formal council meetings about their community issues and priorities, have been confirmed for Stockton Heath and Chapelford & Old Hall.
Cllr Bowden explained: “Warrington continues to face big challenges, but also real opportunities. Our budget pressures remain a difficulty, but we have been working hard to offset these pressures with pioneering investments such as our solar farms in York and Hull. I want to make sure I can speak honestly with residents about the work we do to protect our most vulnerable and deliver the services that matter most.
“The forum meetings are also a place for residents to raise any community issues with me in an informal, open setting. We’ve had some excellent discussion and good debate at previous forum meetings and I’d welcome the same again this time round.
“As I’ve said before, the council is here to serve Warrington and its communities. One of the best ways of understanding how we can improve and respond to your issues is by meeting face to face.
“I’m looking forward to meeting residents again this month.”
The additional forums will be:
- Wednesday 9 October, 6.30pm-7.45pm – Sandy Lane community centre, Stockton Heath, WA4 2AY
- Monday 28 October, 6.30pm-7.45pm – Chapelford village primary school, Santa Rosa Boulevard, WA5 3AL
Registration to attend the forum or ask a question is not required.
