To kick off Foster Care Fortnight, Foster4 hosted a special afternoon tea event last week celebrating the fostering community across Halton, Warrington and Cheshire West and Chester.

The event was held at Doubletree by Hilton in Chester and was attended by foster carers, their families, friends and senior managers from each of the local authorities.

Attendees were treated to a delightful afternoon tea with an assortment of sandwiches, cakes, and teas. During the event, there was also a presentation ceremony to honour foster carers who received awards for their exceptional service to fostering.

Cllr Sarah Hall, cabinet member for children’s services said: "I’m proud we have such dedicated foster carers who selflessly provide a loving and nurturing environment for children. Their service and dedication are a testament to their exceptional character and commitment to making a positive impact in the community. I was honored to speak to some of our foster carers and had the pleasure of presenting the winners with their prizes.”

Foster carers were presented with certificates and gifts and were praised for their resilience and dedication in providing the highest standards of care to vulnerable, local children.
