Cllr Billy Lines-Rowlands, who served as a Labour councillor in Poulton North between 2012 and 2016, has sadly passed away.

On behalf of the council, Leader of the Council, Cllr Russ Bowden said:

“Cllr Billy Lines-Rowlands was a Labour councillor serving the Poulton North ward from May 2012 until May 2016,” he said.

“During his time as a councillor, he was a member of the protecting the most vulnerable committee, licensing, traffic and the health and wellbeing overview and scrutiny committee.

“He was also the deputy chair of the scrutiny committee during the civic year 2013-14.

“All council members and officers that knew Billy were shocked and saddened at the news, particularly at such a young age.

“We extend our sympathies and condolences to Billy’s family and friends.

“The flag at the Town Hall flew at half-mast last week in recognition of Billy’s service to the council and the town.”
