Review of Secondary School Provision for 2026 Entry
This is an informal consultation aimed at sharing information regarding secondary school admissions in Warrington for 2026 and seeking feedback on the preliminary plans to expand secondary school places to meet growing demand.
Background
Warrington Borough Council has a strategic responsibility to ensure there are enough school places available for children and young people across the borough. As the local education authority, it is also required to promote high educational standards and ensure fair access to education. More details on this can be found in the School Organisation Strategy.
Principle 5 of this strategy highlights the importance of consulting with schools, parents, and local communities as part of the planning process for pupil places.
We are sharing this information with everyone, and your feedback through this consultation will play a crucial role in the decision-making process.
