Help with energy bills
We all need to try to reduce our energy bills but also need to live comfortably and heating our home is important to help us stay well. We have collated some support that might help you to reduce your energy bills.
Energy Bills Support Scheme Alternative Funding (EBSS)
Most households in England, Scotland and Wales get a £400 discount on their energy bills automatically. In some cases, you do not get the discount automatically, for example if you:
- pay for energy through a landlord, housing manager or site owner
- live in a park home, houseboat or off the electricity grid

Alternative Fuels Payment (AFP)
Most households will automatically get a £200 Alternative Fuels Payment if they:
If you do not get it automatically, use this service to apply for £200 support to help pay for alternative fuels. You can only make one application per household.
