Getting a taxi
If you hail a taxi from Warrington Central or Bank Quay train stations, or any other taxi rank in Warrington, then please check the fares displayed in the taxi and make sure that the meter is on and running. Always stick to the price on the meter.
If you pre-book a taxi you can negotiate and agree the fare with the operator beforehand. The taxi driver working for that operator must honour the fare.
If you need to complain about a Warrington taxi, or a fare you have been charged, then you need to note the vehicle registration number, the taxi licence plate number and the driver's ID badge number and ask for a receipt. You can then report it to us by emailing [email protected].
If you used a taxi which is licensed in Halton, contact Halton Borough Council.
Never use an unlicensed taxi.
