The Active Warrington Strategy is a comprehensive strategy and delivery plan aimed at promoting physical activity, participation in sport, and fostering a culture of movement across our diverse communities.
The strategy describes the importance of physical activity for individuals, communities and society, looks at Warrington's current activity levels, and lays out plans for a healthier, more active future.
Physical activity is key to a healthy and fulfilling life, improving our physical and mental health and enhancing social connections. However, many people are not active enough. The Active Warrington Strategy is our collective response to this challenge, setting out clear objectives to increase access to, and participation in, physical activity and sport for all residents of Warrington.
If you would like to share your views on the strategy, please take part in our consultation which runs until 5pm on Sunday 26 May. All comments and feedback will be taken into consideration prior to the draft strategy being finalised.
