Warrington Borough Council is holding a special recruitment event on Thursday 25 April at 1 Time Square between 4pm and 6pm.

Events

The recruitment event is aimed at experienced social workers, students thinking about where to take their first step in their social care career, and anyone interested in working with some of our most vulnerable young people as residential support workers.

Visitors attending the event will have the chance to meet some of our social workers and senior leaders over refreshments in our modern new offices and find out why Warrington could be the next best decision they make. Attendees will learn about the benefits of working in Warrington including our ASYE (Assessed & Supported Year in Employment), progression offers and exciting innovation projects including No Wrong Door/Lighthouse and the Mockingbird Programme.

Warrington Borough Council’s Director of Children’s Services, Amanda Perraton, said: “Social workers and managers will be on hand to meet you, talk through our service, and answer any questions you may have about what roles we have currently available and what it’s like to work for us.

“We have posts available for qualified/experienced social workers, newly qualified social workers and those completing their ASYE’s or those about to qualify. So come along, have a chat, and meet the team.”

To register your interest please email socialworktraining@warrington.gov.uk. Tea and coffee will also be provided.
