The event, based at Warrington Market, has proven hugely popular with audiences since its launch two years ago.

The new season kicks off on Thursday 21 September, 6.30pm to 11pm, as Bren Riley returns as host to support seasoned comedian, Eddy Brimson and London based, Joseph Emslie.

This will be followed by the next instalment on Thursday 19 October, which will feature stand up sets from award-winning comedians, Scott Bennett and Dniesh Nathan.

Cllr Tom Jennings, cabinet member for economic development and innovation, said: “The comedy club events have been a great success and a fantastic addition to the Cookhouse Live series, I encourage everyone to come down to the market at Time Square to join in the fun and laughter this autumn.”

Bren Riley from Big Comedy UK, said: “We are excited to be back for a new season of the Cookhouse Comedy Club – it’s a fantastic venue, with great food and drink, and always a friendly, enthusiastic crowd.”

Tickets are limited and are on sale now costing £10, with food and drink available to purchase on the night from selected Cookhouse traders.

Attendees must be aged 18 or over and seating is available on a first come, first served basis.
