Paying tribute to the Baroness’ work to create a safer society for all, Cllr Mundry said: “Helen was a much-loved Warrington figure - a tireless campaigner who dedicated almost two decades to creating safer communities and improving the lives of young people across the country.
“I speak on behalf of the people of Warrington in expressing deep sadness at her passing. Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with her friends and family during this difficult time.
“Helen was a truly inspirational figure - a beacon of hope and resilience, who transformed her personal sorrow into a powerful, positive force for change.
“Her commitment to creating a safer society for all and championing victims’ rights, along with her dedication to providing support, motivation, education and skills for young people was truly remarkable. It has helped transform the lives of countless people, including many here in Warrington.
“She was an extraordinary figure whose legacy will never be forgotten.”
