As a result of the Royal Mail Communication Workers Union strike action, there are delays in the delivery of postal vote packs for the Winwick Parish Council (Peel Hall ward) upcoming election.

Residents who are postal voters in this election, and have not received their postal vote, can apply for a replacement pack by contacting the council’s electoral services team, by 5pm on Thursday 8 December.

If you have already received your pack, do not put the completed postal vote in a Royal Mail post box after the last collection on Tuesday 6 December, as this vote will not be received in time to be counted.

The deadline for receipt of completed postal votes is 10pm on Thursday 8 December.

If postal votes are not sent back in time, voters can hand it in at any polling station within their local area on Election Day, or alternatively, at the Town Hall. Locations and opening times are detailed below:

  • Town Hall, Sankey Street, Warrington, WA1 1UH – open from 9am to 4pm (or through the letterbox up to 7pm)
  • Various polling stations in the Peel Hall ward – open from 7am to 10pm

Polling stations:

  • Greenwood Centre, Meteor Crescent, WA2 0DU
  • Cinnamon Brow Community Centre (The Farm), Perth Close, WA2 0SF
  • Mobile unit, Ulverston Avenue, WA2 9JX
