Warrington’s new Mayor, Cllr Jean Flaherty, will be joined by chronicler, Janice Hayes, to celebrate 70 years of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign.

The Mayor will be hosting the heritage event on Saturday 4 June at Warrington Town Hall.

Janice Hayes, local heritage curator and author of ‘Warrington Through Time, Warrington For Ever!’ and ‘Working Lives of Warrington’, will be talking about royal visits and other points of local interest from the past 70 years.

Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Jean Flaherty said: “I am delighted to invite you all to join us in our Jubilee celebration and learn more about Warrington’s connection with the Queen and the royal family, as well as the borough’s illustrious history over the past 70 years.

“This is an incredibly unique way to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and will surely be a memorable event.”

Tickets are £10.95 each, with the price including a breakfast barm with tea and coffee.
