The Moment of Reflection will be an opportunity for people to gather and reflect on Her Majesty The Queen’s life and legacy. It will take place the evening before the State Funeral and will be marked by a one-minute silence.
Mayor of Warrington Cllr Jean Flaherty, who will lead the Moment of Reflection on behalf of the borough, said: “Our communities will again come together to pause and reflect on Her Majesty The Queen’s profound and significant legacy, on Sunday at 8pm.
“The response from our residents so far to the passing of Her Majesty The Queen has been humbling, with many coming to sign the book of condolence and leave flowers at the Town Hall. I know that on Sunday our communities will come together again to remember.
“There is comfort in collectively reflecting in this moment and I extend an open and warm welcome to those who wish to join us at the Town Hall on Sunday.”
A number of small, local events have also been arranged to mark the Moment of Reflection and many other residents will choose to mark the silence privately at home with their family and friends.
