Apprenticeships Fair is just the job

The event, organised and sponsored by Warrington Borough Council, Warrington & Co and The Cheshire & Warrington Pledge, will host numerous exhibits from various sectors and businesses.

The successful apprenticeships and jobs fair will return on Thursday 17 March at Birchwood Park for its eighth year, bringing some of the biggest businesses in the area together under one roof.

 

Anyone from school leavers, graduates and people seeking new job opportunities are invited come along and hear first-hand from a number of high profile North West employers. Apprenticeship and job opportunities are available now in the local area in sectors such as accountancy, business administration, construction, customer services, design, engineering, health and social care, hospitality and catering, HR, IT, logistics, marketing and more.  

 

Cllr Sarah Hall, cabinet member for children’s services said: “This event is a fantastic opportunity for Warrington’s young people to take the first, or next, step in their career. It is especially beneficial for those starting out on their career journey or anyone who is interested in taking up a role in health and social care.

 

“The evening is not to be missed with many prospective employers hosting exhibits. There will also be live apprenticeship roles available, which can be applied for at the event.”

 

Cllr Tom Jennings, cabinet member for economic development and innovation said: “This event is a great opportunity for individuals to find their new career path and for local businesses to fill much-needed roles in key sectors across the borough.

 

“The apprenticeships and jobs fair will be the perfect opportunity for people to find out about possible career paths they may not have previously considered, and for many of our businesses to ‘keep it local’ by speaking with our residents with the ultimate aim of matching them up with opportunities where they can develop their skills and forge their careers.”

 

The apprenticeships and jobs fair will take place at the Engine Rooms in Birchwood Park, WA3 6YN on Thursday 17th March from 5pm – 8.30pm.
