The landmark event – celebrating a quarter of a century of the review – took place on Friday 28 April at The Park Royal Hotel. It showcased the ongoing growth and resilience of the town, despite some ongoing uncertainty in investment spending nationally.

Each year, the Annual Property Review provides an in-depth analysis of the Warrington property development and investment market, featuring presentations of statistics and reports independently commissioned, compiled and collated by Warrington-based commercial property agents, BE Group, who have authored the report since its inception.

This year’s Review demonstrates the continued confidence in Warrington as a great place to do business, reflected by the new investment that has come into the town over the past 12 months.

Successes of the past year include:

• A number of significant office and industrial transactions and a high performing year for industrial take-up, demonstrating that demand remains high and buoyant.

• The completion of two Town Deal projects - a state-of-the-art Health and Social Care Academy at Warrington & Vale Royal College, and a brand new bus depot, which from 2024  will support one of the largest all-electric bus fleets in the UK.

• The new Warrington Youth Zone officially opening and enjoying almost 60,000 visits in its first nine months.

• The council’s own housing company – Incrementum – completing work on 161 eco-friendly properties for rent and affordable rent in Great Sankey and Birchwood.

• The launch of the Warrington Skills Commission - made up of representatives from a broad range of sectors – to lead a public debate on skills needs and opportunities and secure the economic success of the borough for decades to come.

• Warrington’s role as a host for the Rugby League World Cup (RLWC), in particular, the hosting of the full, inaugural Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL), which showcased Warrington as a national centre of excellence for disability rugby.

Warrington Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for economic development and innovation, Cllr Tom Jennings, said: “I’m delighted that we were able to once again showcase the ongoing success of our town as a place where businesses can thrive. This year’s review demonstrates, yet again, the resilience of Warrington’s economy and our continued growth, which gives us much to be confident about as we look towards the future.”
