The Living Well Bus

The Living Well bus, delivered by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, travels to different locations across the region to support people to improve their health and wellbeing.

The bus has visited several locations in Warrington recently, but this time will be located at Winwick Leisure Centre, WA2 8LQ. Residents will be able to drop-in on Monday 24 April, from 10.30am until 4pm.

A range of services will be available on the bus, including physical health checks such as a blood pressure and pulse check, cholesterol check, blood glucose check, and BMI check. Residents can also receive advice and support to improve their mental wellbeing, with signposting or referrals made to appropriate services, if required.

People visiting the bus can also receive their spring booster vaccine if they are eligible to do so.

Cllr Maureen McLaughlin, cabinet member for public health and wellbeing, said: “The Living Well bus is a useful, free drop-in service where you can get a quick health check and advice and guidance around how to improve your health and wellbeing.

“So, if you are able to hop on board the bus on 24 April, I would encourage you to attend to take advantage of the health checks and spring boosters available. The friendly team will be on hand to offer some helpful guidance to support you to improve your lifestyle, which can help you stay healthy and well for as long as possible.”
