Our roadmap for a better bus service for Warrington.

'Better By Bus' brings enhanced timetables, with more frequent buses every day. Get ready for:

  • From Winter 2022 – a rolling programme to install improved bus shelters across the whole bus network started
  • From January 2023 – cheaper fares with any single fare capped at a maximum £2 across the entire network, on any Warrington’s Own Buses, Arriva or Go North West bus
  • Unlimited concessionary pass use – there are no restrictions on when concessionary pass holders can use their pass. Catch the bus from any Warrington bus stop with no need to wait until 9.30am for your pass to be valid. Hop on-board at any time of day, seven days a week

Explore Warrington by bus

Following our successful 'Super Summer Service' campaign, which was funded by Local Transport Fund money from the Department for Transport, 'Better By Bus' is the latest part of our work to invest in bus services in the borough.

As part of these improvements, you'll have better connectivity to key town centre locations, including Time Square, Golden Square, the Cultural Quarter, and the Youth Zone - plus the many places you can visit in Warrington outside the town centre, while making the most of cheaper fares and big benefits for concessionary passengers.

A greener way to travel

This initiative is one of many we will be delivering in the coming months and years as part of our Bus Service Improvement Plan

We all know the huge environmental benefits increased bus usage brings – we now want to deliver a first-class bus service that people can count on.

These improvements mean journeys will be 'Better By Bus' in Warrington, so why not leave the car at home and hop on board?
