ZEBRA buses coming soon
In 2024, Warrington's Own Buses' all-electric bus fleet hits the streets.
Following our successful 'Super Summer Service' campaign, which was funded by Local Transport Fund money from the Department for Transport, 'Better By Bus' is the latest part of our work to invest in bus services in the borough.
As part of these improvements, you'll have better connectivity to key town centre locations, including Time Square, Golden Square, the Cultural Quarter, and the Youth Zone - plus the many places you can visit in Warrington outside the town centre, while making the most of cheaper fares and big benefits for concessionary passengers.
In 2024, bus passengers will also be able to look forward to an entire fleet of brand new high quality, accessible electric buses coming into service, which will give Warrington one of the largest all-electric bus fleets in the country, with all Warrington’s Own Buses’ services being operated using electric buses from its new all electric depot on Dallam Lane.
The Better By Bus initiative is one of many we will be delivering in the coming months and years as part of our Bus Service Improvement Plan.
We all know the huge environmental benefits increased bus usage brings – we now want to deliver a first-class bus service that people can count on.
These improvements mean journeys will be 'Better By Bus' in Warrington, so why not leave the car at home and hop on board?
