About the Programme
Cheshire and Warrington has been selected as one of six areas in England to be part of the National Devolution Priority Programme. Subject to final decision from each Council, this will involve the creation of a new Mayoral Combined Authority, holding Mayoral Elections in May 2026 and ensuring Cheshire and Warrington meet the requirements of the Government to receive the devolved powers and funding for the core competencies set out in the Devolution White Paper.
About the Role
The Devolution Programme Support Officer will work with all levels of the subregional programme team to track and oversee day to day programme activity to ensure successful programme delivery. We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with experience working in a fast-paced project or programme environment. Note that if for whatever reason the programme ends earlier than expected the postholder will return to their substantive role.
