I am writing to put forward my objections for the proposed planning in South Warrington. Stockton Heath is already constantly congested. Red Lane is a nightmare and the bridge certainly cannot sustain any more traffic. On Weds 20th Oct I was forced to drive onto Hill Cliffe Church car park as coming down Red Lane was a huge lorry carrying metal fencing it completely filled the Road. I did not get to see where he went - hopefully not over Red Lane despite weight restrictions lorries still go over it. The reason for this was men working on the drains at the Forge and causing congestion in Stockton Heath. Just one example of what happens regularly as people cut through to avoid congestion in Stockton Heath. Other bottle necks are: Lumbrook Bridge; Cat and Lion Traffic Lights; Plus many more. Parking in the area is inadequate causing local streets to be blocked, people parking illegally causing danger when trying to get out of junctions impossible for delivery lorries some times. Public Transport is totally inadequate adding to more Cars on roads.
The schools are bursting at the seems. As for being able to get to see a GP extremely difficult. Even before Covid it was very difficult to get to see a GP as practices were taking on too many patients. To propose a minimum of 4,200 homes in the area without dealing with the infrastructure FIRST is a disaster waiting to happen.
