Summary of comments

The local plan is not justified, deliverable or in line with locally assessed needs. Young people don't stay in Warrington as employment and career opportunities are better elsewhere. Better employment opportunities are needed to retain people. Affordable housing is needed near good rail and tram links. Brownfield sites should be regenerated to meet these needs. Development in south east Warrington will be car dependent with no rail or tram links and even bus services have been reduced. This will get worse with the local plan proposals at a time when we are supposed to be going 'greener'. Town centre needs more investment. The countryside surrounding south Warrington is what attracts people to the town. Local people have not been consulted in identifying 'locally assessed needs'.
