Summary of comments

The plan still involves the loss of green belt land and does not utilise the available brown field sites. Rather than loose green belt we should be increasing it and planting more trees to offset CO2 emissions. The increased traffic will increase pollution and the impact on CO2 emissions, especially with the concerns relating to global warming are alarming. The traffic volume will also lead to increased congestion on the local roads which are already congested. I am a resident of Appleton Thorn and the character of the village along with other villages in the area will be destroyed. The Six56 development would increase the volume of traffic on what are already congested motorways, any slight incident on either the M6 or M56 already leads to grid lock in the area, which I frequently observe from my kitchen window! The pollution generated by idling trucks will further contribute to pollution and climate change. How can the council recommend such a development leading up to COP 26 where all the world?s nation?s should be looking to reduce such emissions. Jobs are clearly important but the council should be encouraging new jobs in renewable energy.
