I am responding with great concern to the Local Plan and the effect of the proposed South East development on Stockton Heath.
The impact of the size of the development on an already congested village is unthinkable. I have seen nothing in the plan to alleviate the potential increased traffic congestion. As local cycling commuter I have negatively experienced the increase in volume of traffic and associated pollution over the last number of years. I?m sure the impact of an additional possibly 8000cars on the roads locally will put cyclists, pedestrians and other road users at increased risk of danger.
There also doesn?t appear to be any provision of local amenities for the proposed 4200 dwellings. GP and dental services, schools and leisure facilities which are already stretched to the limit.
