The role

This is an excellent opportunity for two successful candidates with a passion for supporting the learning experience of young people to join the SEND team at St Gregory’s Catholic High School as a Teaching Assistant (Level 3). The SEND department is a wonderful team of caring and collaborative people who are well regarded in the St Gregory’s community. St Gregory’s is an Ofsted ‘Good’ School with an Outstanding Catholic life judgement (Section 48). Both reports can be viewed by clicking here:

St. Gregory’s is proud to be one of the highest performing schools in both Warrington and the Liverpool Archdiocese area and as such we are oversubscribed with a waiting list to join our school community. We are proud to be the one of the highest attending schools in the North West and pupil behaviour is excellent. Our Ofsted report noted “Pupils at St Gregory’s are happy, confident and welcoming to visitors. They like each other. There is a strong sense of community across the school. This reflects the school vision, ‘One family inspired to learn’. One pupil said: ‘We are cared about as individuals but, because everyone cares, that makes us all one.”

The successful candidate will join a passionate and successful SEND and pastoral team to work with and supervise individuals and groups of children alongside teaching &/or senior staff, inclusive of specific individual learning needs and enabling access to learning for all pupils. You will provide assistance and support in classroom management, behaviour techniques and provide specialist support in a specific curricular/resource area depending on your areas of experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a top performing school which is expanding and completing a period of growth due to our sustained success.
