The role

We are offering a new role at our School which offers the opportunity to support children in a variety of environments throughout the day. This very specific role requires an experienced Teaching Assistant and for  you to be flexible and adaptable in your approach to working with children of all ages, transitioning seamlessly from role to role throughout the day.

The days are split into 3 specific areas:
Supervision of lunches – 11.30am to 1.15pm
In class/group classroom support for children – 1.15pm to 2.30pm
Senior Wraparound care assistant – 3pm to 6.15pm

Each role requires you to have the following skills/qualities:

  • You are patient, kind and caring.
  • You have the ability to set boundaries and have strong behaviour management skills.
  • You have experience in working with children in a classroom environment.
  • You are able to work under the guidance of the teacher but also work independently.
  • You are passionate about children achieving their full potential.

In addition to this and under the direction of the manager, the role of Senior wraparound care assistant requires someone who:

  • Is organised and reliable with an exemplary attendance record.
  • Has a strong understanding of safeguarding, health, and safety.
  • Is able to deal effectively with parents/carers directly.
  • Is able to keep records accurately.
  • Is able to plan engaging activities.
  • Is able to manage other adults in the setting.


You are a team player with a good sense of humour and thrive on working in an environment which is happy and supportive but focused and committed to providing the best for all children.

 This role is 31.25 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks per year) – Permanent Contract- This post is not available for job share.
