The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Town Centre Cultural Events & Marketing Officer, to work 37 hours per week on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2025 (possible extension depending on funding).

Warrington Borough Council are looking for someone to support the planning and delivery of an annual town centre cultural events programme, providing the Inclusive Economy, Leisure and Culture service with the capacity to grow existing events, develop new events and engage Warrington’s communities more effectively. The role is fixed term up to March 2025, with a possible extension dependent on funding.

Working with the Cultural Partnerships Development Manager, this new role will develop a programme of events, projects and promotions that meet the needs of Time Square and the wider town centre, building on the existing events programme. You will work with Warrington Borough Council’s partners, including Warrington Business Improvement District and Culture Warrington, to assist with the planning and co-ordination of town centre wide events.

This is a people facing role, focusing on exceptional event delivery, project management and relationship building with existing and new partners, delivering high quality outputs and experiences for audiences whilst enabling a variety of voices and perspectives to contribute towards the emerging events programme.

This role will support the administrative processes, technical delivery and evaluation procedures that underpin event programmes. It is a full-time position, is office (Time Square) and home based and will involve some evening and weekend working.
