The proposal for 4,200 homes will destroy the landscape and rural character of south Warrington villages. There are no exceptional circumstances for building on Green Belt land and the Council should investigate brownfield opportunities. Already have congestion and Air quality issues without the additional development. Lack of detailed new road plan - LTP4 does not have the answers. Measures needed to mitigate pollution and reduce carbon footprint. Like the idea of a mass transport system but limited by existing bridge crossings. The proposals contravene some provisions within the Appleton Thorn Neighbourhood Plan such as building on Green Belt land. Building on Green Belt must be a last resort for both houses and commercial properties.
