The school meals service provides meals to all Warrington primary and special schools.

Paying for school meals

Meals are £2.60 per day, however all children in reception, year 1 and year 2 are entitled to a free school lunch.

The majority of Warrington Schools accept payments via the cashless catering provider. ParentPay’s payment service.

Your school will issue an activation letter to enable you to create an account to pay for your child’s meals. This will allow you to top up your child's account in advance.

The following schools do not use the cashless system and accept cash/cheque:

  • Brook Acre Community Primary
  • New Horizons School
  • Woolston Brook School

Meal quality and menus

We work closely with our food suppliers to ensure food is fresh, sustainable and from traceable sources.

Over 75% of the dishes on our new menu are freshly prepared daily using fresh, sustainable ingredients which are free from harmful additives, where possible we source meat and meat products which are Red Tractor/Farm Assured, Fish is MCS certified and only free range eggs are used in our dishes. This is good news for animal welfare!

Fresh food that meets nutritional guidelines in schools can lead to better concentration and performance in the classroom, as well as positively influencing eating habits in later life.

We hope your child will enjoy our current menu and we thank you again for your support.

We cater for vegetarian, multi-cultural and other special dietary needs. Please contact your school in the first instance to inform of your child’s special dietary requirement.
